Class Name  CBT & Depression-Network180 06/04/24 1-4:30 (classroom)
Description  Depression is one of the most common mental health concerns. The training looks at diagnosis and treatment through a Cognitive lens; while medication is often a first line treatment, research has shown that patients/clients who learn to become their own "counselor" using proven Cognitive Therapy techniques, have better short and long term outcomes. Cognitive Therapy for Depression will be defined, depressed cognitions and assumptions evaluated and several techniques focusing on behavioral activation and guided discovery will be present.
